ADMISSION NOTIFICATION AND G UIDELINES
Website (www.mbbuniversitV.ae.in) for admission to M.A. in English, M.A. in Political Science, M.Sc. in Mathematics, Master of Library & Information Science and Bachelor of Library & Information Science programmes for the academic session 2021-2022.
Online Application Starts :
Online filling up of Application Forms and submission of the filled up Forms is scheduled from September 16, 2021 (10.00 AM) to September 27, 2021 (04.00 PM).
The candidates are required to fill up the onlinc Application Form available in the given link of the MBB University Website: https://mbbuonline.edu and submit the same by uploading the necessary documents. photograph and signature.
PROGRAMMES:
MA. in English ' Duration: 4 Semesters [2 (Two) Years]
in Political Science Duration: 4 Semesters [2 (Two) Years]
M.Sc. in Mathematics Duration: 4 Scmesters [2 (Two) Years]
Master of Library and Information Science Duration: 2 Semesters [1 (One) Year]
Bachelor of Library and Information Science : Duration: 2 Semesters [1 (One) Year]
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (ESSENTIAL):
M.A. in English: ' Candidates who have graduated either with Honours in English OR have graduated with English as an
Elective subject at the graduation level from any recognized University under l0+2+3 pattern or equivalent system of education are eligible to apply for Admission. The candidates who have either
appeared or are appearing in the final semester examination with Honours Course in English or Elective
Course in English at the graduation level can also apply for Admission.
MA. in Political Science:
Candidates who have graduated either with Honours in Political Science OR have graduated with Political Science as an Elective subject at the graduation level from any recognized University under l0+2+3 pattem or equivalent system of education are eligible to apply for Admission. The candidates who have either appeared or are appearing in the tinal semester examination with Honours Course in Political Science or Elective Course in Political Science at the graduation level can also apply for Admission.
M. Sc. in Mathematics:
Candidates who have graduated either with Honours in Mathematics OR have graduated with Mathematics as an Elective subject at the graduation level tiom any recognized University under 10+2+3 pattem or equivalent system of education are eligible to apply for Admission. The candidates who have either appeared or are appearing in the iinal semester examination with Honours Course in Mathematics or Elective Course in Mathematics at the graduation level can also apply for Admission.

Master of Library and Information Science:
Candidates who have successfully completed Bachelor oi‘ Library and Information Science from any recognized University are eligible to apply for Admission. The candidates who have either appeared or are appearing in the final semester examination in Bachelor of Library & Information Science can also apply for Admission.
Bachelor of Library and Information Science:
Candidates having Bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognized University are eligible to apply for Admission. The candidates who have appeared in the final semester examination at Bachelor degree level can also apply for Admission.
However, mere possession of ‘Eligibility Criteria’ does not entitle right to anyone to get admission to any programme under Maharaja Bir Bikram University. Regarding selection of Eligible Candidates for admission, decision of the Admission Committee shall be final.
INTAKE CAPACITY:
a. M.A. in English 50 seats
b. M.A. in Political 50 seats
c. M.Sc. in Mathematics 50 seats
d. Master of Library and Information Science 30 seats
e. Bachelor of Library and Information Science 50 seats
GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST AND SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Calculation of Scores of each Candidate for Admission
to M.A. I M.Sc./M.L.l.Se.:'B.L.I.Sc. Programmes
The merit list will be prepared according to the merit position to be determined after calculating the marks I points /score in the following manner: '
1. The percentage of marks /’ grade point I CGPA obtained in the relevant Honours subject OR in the relevant Elective subject from First to Fifth Semester for those candidates who will be appearing in the final semester and from First to Sixth semester for those candidates who have successfully completed graduation shall be considered for admission in accordance with the eandidate’s choice of subject. if any candidate has any back paper at the time of filling up the application form in the relevant subject in which hefshe has applied for admission, hisfher application will be treated as cancelled.
2. In addition, the following points will be given to those who have either graduated or will be appearing in the final semester with Honours in the relevant subject:

Subject
40% - 45%----9 points
46% - 50% ----12points
51% - 55% -----15 points
56% - 59% -----18 points
60% and above -20 points
RESERVATION:
As per existing reservation policy of the Govemment of Tripura, the available reserved seats shall be distributed among the reserved category candidates.

B.L.l.Sc. Examination, issued by UGC recognized University. Marksheets (both sides) of all semesters of MA./M.Sc. or equivalent Examination issued by UGC
recognized University, if the Candidates possess such qualification. (Only for those who are applying
to B.L.I.Sc. Programme). .
SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority.
PWD (Person with Disability) Certificate issued by the competent authority.
