- The university conducts admissions in two cycles: January and July
- IGNOU admission is mainly based on candidate's aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying degree/exam

IGNOU Admission 2021: B.Ed, M.Ed
The minimum duration of both B.Ed and M.Ed is two years each. However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the B.Ed and M.Ed programme is five and four years respectively. Admission to these programmes is done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the online entrance test conducted by NTA all India level. The final admission is subject to the candidate’s rank in the merit list of the entrance test and submission of original certificates along with the application form.

IGNOU Admission 2021: BCom, BA, BBA, BSc

IGNOU Admission 2021: MPhil, PhD
The university provides PhD programme in more than 20 subjects and MPhil in about 10 subjects wherein the candidates get an opportunity to research in their respective fields. Eligible candidates are required to appear for the entrance test conducted by the university for both the courses. In case of PhD, candidates with MPhil degree (along with coursework and dissertation) or those who have cleared NET (conducted by UGC/CSIR/ICAR) or any other equivalent examination will be exempted from appearing in the entrance test.
